The main reason I haven't posted a new blog about the West Coast trip (ok, which is like one and a half month ago) was because my laptop has been broke down on me and I have not had enough money to get a new one yet. I know...<strike>and i spend half of the money on shoes. Don't yell at me. I know...i knoww....</strike>

So, back in Spring break (when I was all by myself, doing nothing and dying to get away), I decided to have trip along the West Coast. I lived in Seattle for pretty much 2 years and traveled all over the US. However, I had not been to California nor even Portland. Yeah, i was that big of a bummer. Anyway, so why not?!

The journey of finding a good cheap flight ticket wasn't extremely difficult for me. First, I allowed enough time in advance for me to purchase the flight ticket. An advice for people out there, if possible, 2 months before you travel is the perfect time for you to look around and get your tickets. Yeah...yeah I'm aware that you are busy and not able to predict what will happen in 2 months. Ok, unless you have a car and you don't mind paying around one to two hundred bucks extra, the airline companies obviously love to take your money out of your pocket.

I started my trip from Dallas, flew to Seattle, again flew to San Francisco, road trip to Los Angeles, took a bus to San Diego then flew back to Fayetteville Arkansas. I paid about 350 dollars for all the flight tickets, 20 bucks for bus and around 30 dollars for driving down to Los Angeles. Not too bad for going to that many places all at once.

For living in Seattle around 2 years, this trip was pretty much a visit to meet up with some friends and stop my longing for Seattle. I missed it so much since I moved to Arkansas. People would ask me every time I told them that I lived in Seattle before, "Does it rain a lot in Seattle?" Yes, it does but it's not the heavy rain with crazy thunder storms that you get to see down south. The rain in Seattle is small and long. Enough to make you feel depressed and irritating. However, to be honest, I was used to all that to the point that now thinking of it, I can't even remember if it was raining that much while I was there. It is amazing like that. Plus, I like to carry around my cute little Gap umbrella.

However, if you come to Seattle, of course, certainly, absolutely, definitely, ok you get the idea, come to see the Space Needle. Yeah. It is cliche and redundant to even tell you to go see it. Because you will for sure go there. Right?! What is Seattle best known for? Star Bucks? Bruce Lee (wait what?!)? Rain (whatever!)? Space Needle. Duh!

To be honest, I haven't gone up there yet. The price ticket to get to the deck is 18 dollars if you are a legit (!?) adult. There is a small park where you can take your kids there to play all the fun games they have. They also have Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame and Imax there. It is a fun place to hang out and experience.

I went to Bellingham a few days later. I loved it. I had never been there when I lived in Seattle. It's very beautiful, fresh and breath-taking. Pretty view of the ocean and the harbor, adding all the hills and the green of the forest. It would be a nice place to retire for sure.

Later that day, I rushed back to Seattle to hang out with two friends I knew back in middle school. We met at University District and had Korean food. It was yummy but the service was not very pleasant.

I have been to almost 10 different campuses. <strike>Regardless the fact that I would not want to go to UW for school</strike>, it is one of the most beautiful campuses that I have ever been to. Great architectures, opened space and green campus. If anyone ever visits Seattle, University District and UW are definitely the places you want to go to.

Talking a little bit about Seattle's downtown. <strike>I actually don't like it that much</strike>. Relatively small compared to the other major cities', Seattle downtown takes about 20 minutes for you to walk around and pretty much experience the whole scene. I wish it could be bigger.

The trip was quick. I really wanted to go to Pike Place Market, Seattle Public Library and the first Starbucks to take pictures with my Olympus. However, I did not, even thou the weather was really nice and cool when I was there. Such a slacker!

I'm coming back to Seattle (yes...again) this December. Wait for another blog and pictures.

Yes. One way or another, I'll be to at least all the places I'd like to go.

I guess I decided to start this blog just to give people an idea what to do and where to go in places that I have been to. Plus, it is a good way to keep track of places that I have gone.

I was back from the West coast and enjoyed every minute of it. My next trip will be pretty much back home, Vietnam, and Korea to complete my obsession. Just thinking about being able to set foot on Korean soil makes me so happy.
